Oconee County Regional Airport Issues Notice of Restricted Operations for October 16–18 and 23–25
Why It MattersConstruction-driven parking limits at a regional airport during major event weekends highlight how pavement work can temporarily constrain larger business-aircraft access to smaller fields.
Oconee County Regional Airport (CEU) in Seneca, South Carolina has issued a formal notice of restricted operations covering two consecutive weekends in October that coincide with Clemson Football game weekends: Friday, October 16 at 0900 through Sunday, October 18 at 1400, and Friday, October 23 at 0900 through Sunday, October 25 at 1400.

During these periods, CEU cannot accommodate parking of aircraft with a wingspan greater than 60 feet for any duration exceeding one hour, a result of an ongoing pavement repair project that has pushed construction into the last week of October.
A temporary ATC tower will be in place during the affected game weekends, consistent with the airport's practice on previous game weekends. Pilots are advised to remain alert for construction barriers, possible runway back-taxi operations, and ramp and parking congestion, and to check current pilot NOTAMs regularly for updates or changes to the planned closures and tower operating schedule.
