AB Jets relocates to 52,000 sq ft headquarters at Memphis International Airport

AB Jets has moved into a larger headquarters at Memphis International Airport, the same airport where its previous facility was located. The new facility contains about 52,000 square feet of office and support space, up from 22,000 square feet, along with a 32,000-square-foot hangar, up from 16,000 square feet.

A spokesperson told Private Jet Card Comparisons, "This is a significant and necessary expansion for AB Jets," adding: "As our fleet, team, and operation have grown, we needed a facility that could grow with us. The additional space gives us the infrastructure to support where the company is today while creating room for what comes next."

AB Jets was founded in 1999 and is based in Memphis, Tennessee. Per the most recent FAA Part 135 list of charter aircraft, it operates three Bombardier Challenger 3500s and eight Bombardier Learjet 60XRs. Last month it revealed an order for two more of Bombardier's super-midsize jets and launched a guaranteed jet card on its Challenger fleet.

Facility moves like this one typically trail fleet and program growth rather than lead it: the new Challenger order and the guaranteed jet card came first, and the larger hangar and office space follow to support them. For a Part 135 operator, hangar square footage and staff space are as much a growth constraint as aircraft availability, since maintenance turnaround, crew scheduling and sales operations all scale with the physical plant.

What comes into focus now is whether AB Jets' fleet count keeps pace with the added hangar capacity — the two incoming Challenger 3500s would bring its total in that type to five, alongside the existing eight Learjet 60XRs. Confirmation of when those aircraft enter service, and whether the guaranteed jet card program expands further on the back of the new space, are the next concrete markers.
