Volare Aviation completes full refurbishment of 2000-build Bombardier Challenger 604 with matte green livery and conference seating
Why It MattersThe project points to rising demand for bespoke monochromatic paint schemes and cabin reconfigurations as operators refurbish older Challenger-family aircraft rather than replace them.
Volare Aviation has completed a full interior and exterior refurbishment of a year-2000 Bombardier Challenger 604, adding a four-place conference seating group at the rear of the cabin, technology upgrades, and a matte green exterior livery.

The layout redesign introduced a rear conference seating configuration to increase passenger capacity while maintaining an open cabin feel. Jake Ostridge, head of design at Volare Aviation, said the team aimed to add more passenger seating without compromising comfort or the sense of space.
On the technology side, the project included installation of a triple Collins Fusion avionics suite, high-speed Starlink connectivity, and a bespoke Bang & Olufsen audio system comprising four custom-integrated Beosound Emerge speakers and a dedicated subwoofer.
The exterior matte green finish presented particular technical challenges. Ostridge noted that, unlike a gloss finish, imperfections in a matte coat cannot be buffed or polished out, requiring the affected area to be completely redone. He said the aircraft "looks completely different to everything out there" and that the studio is seeing growing client demand for monochromatic paint schemes. Bombardier Challenger models account for the majority of Volare Aviation's refurbishment projects completed so far in 2026.
