Global eVTOL and Advanced Air Mobility Market Forecast to Reach USD 128.22 Billion by 2035 at 24.98% CAGR
Why It MattersThe projected growth signals accelerating capital and regulatory momentum behind electric propulsion, vertiport infrastructure, and autonomous air-mobility services across passenger, cargo and medical segments.
The global eVTOL and advanced air mobility market is forecast to grow from USD 13.79 billion in 2025 to USD 128.22 billion by 2035, a compound annual growth rate of 24.98%, according to a market forecast covering 2026–2035. The market spans eVTOL aircraft along with electric propulsion and energy systems, avionics, flight-control technologies, charging infrastructure, vertiports, digital fleet-management platforms, and commercial mobility services, as the industry moves from prototype development toward certification, flight testing, manufacturing scale-up, infrastructure deployment, and initial commercial services.

In 2025, multirotor eVTOL aircraft led by aircraft type with an 18.65% market share, battery-electric propulsion dominated propulsion types at 49.85%, electric motors and propulsion components captured 18.45% of component revenue, and passenger air mobility held the largest application share at 34.85%. The 5–7 passenger capacity segment led with 36.40% of the market. Among fast-growing segments, tiltrotor aircraft are forecast to expand at a 27.10% CAGR, rising from 16.75% to 19.35% share by 2035, the 8–15 passenger category carries the highest CAGR at 26.20%, and fully autonomous operation is projected at a 42.10% CAGR from a small base. Hybrid-electric systems held 28.40% of the propulsion market in 2025, tapering to 27.25% by 2035 at a 24.55% CAGR.
On deployment, EHang has delivered more than 169 EH216 units and completed over 83,000 flights across 21 countries, while Joby, Archer, Eve, and Vertical Aerospace continued advancing certification milestones, with commercial entry targeted between 2026 and 2028. Archer reported USD 1.8 billion in liquidity to support planned U.S. air taxi operations, and Eve conducted a full-scale prototype test campaign with nearly 300 planned validation flights. In Europe, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency's 2025 framework provided clearer certification and operational guidelines, while in the United States the FAA's powered-lift pilot and rule of practice took effect in 2024, with the agency's 2026 eIPP evaluating AAM across passenger, cargo, automation, and medical-response missions. Commercial air mobility operators comprise the largest end-user segment in the market.
