Textron Aviation receives FAA STC for all-Garmin avionics retrofit on early Cessna CitationJet aircraft

Textron Aviation announced on September 22, 2026, in Wichita, Kansas, that it has received FAA Supplemental Type Certification for an all-Garmin avionics retrofit solution for Cessna CitationJet aircraft with serial numbers 525-0001 through 0359.
The certified package includes the Garmin G600 TXi flight display, TXi EIS, GTN 750Xi FMS/NAV/COMM, and GFC 600 digital autopilot, with Stabilized Approach monitoring and aural V-speed alerting as standard. Optional additions include the GWX 8000 StormOptix weather radar and the GDL 60 datalink for the PlaneSync connected aircraft management system.
Textron Aviation said the certification extends its OEM-supported avionics modernization program to the earliest CitationJet aircraft, bringing cockpit technology also available on the CJ1 and CJ2 to operators of the original model. Installation is available through Textron Aviation's service network, which includes more than 300 authorized service facilities worldwide.
