Founded in 2023 and headquartered in Nanshan, Shenzhen, Qingwei Aviation set up a research and development center in Xi'an at the end of 2024 and incorporated an airborne airworthiness electronics subsidiary in Chengdu in 2026. The company develops fly-by-wire flight control computing platforms, intelligent cockpit display systems, and integrated modular open platforms for civil aircraft, with a technology reuse rate of 70% between its two core product lines, according to the company.

Qingwei Aviation completed its Design Assurance System in December 2025 and is pursuing both Design Organization Approval and Production Organization Approval. The CTSOA independent certification application for one of its flight control products has been accepted by the Chengdu Airborne Equipment Certification Branch of China's civil aviation authority, with a design approval review under way. Its products target general aviation, low-altitude flight, business jets, and regional airliners, and it has received orders, R&D contracts, and product deliveries from OEM customers. Founder Guo Qing has 21 years of aviation engineering experience and has participated in the development of seven aircraft types.

The fundraising comes amid a surge in low-altitude economy investment in China, with domestic investment and financing events in the sector exceeding 160 this year, for a combined scale of nearly 30 billion yuan.
