Green Fuel Forward Expands SAF Alliance in Asia-Pacific, Adds Amazon, Bain & Company and Temasek Trust as New Members

Why It MattersBroader corporate participation and expanded governance signal a push to convert Asia-Pacific SAF demand readiness into transactions that could help address supply and cost constraints.

Green Fuel Forward (GFF), an initiative launched by GenZero and the World Economic Forum in May 2025 to scale demand for sustainable aviation fuel, announced an expanded partnership structure and new members on September 23, 2026, during Green Markets Day at New York Climate Week. GFF said it is moving from building awareness and procurement readiness toward facilitating greater corporate action in SAF and SAF certificate transactions across Asia, and its Steering Committee has been broadened to include investment, demand-aggregation, procurement and market-development expertise, with the World Economic Forum handing over its secretariat function to that committee.

New members Amazon, Bain & Company, and Temasek Trust have joined the alliance, with Temasek Trust also serving as a catalytic contributor funding procurement-cost offsets. GFF's total membership now stands at 48, spanning companies with significant business-travel footprints, logistics and air-cargo operations, and international corporations seeking to decarbonise their value chains in Asia.

GenZero CEO Frederick Teo said corporate purchases of SAF certificates can direct financing into scaling SAF adoption. Center for Green Market Activation CEO Kim Carnahan said book-and-claim and demand-aggregation mechanisms can drive new investment and grow high-integrity SAF supply, while SAFCo CEO Seow Hui Tan said Singapore's SAF policy infrastructure can help build a credible, scalable voluntary SAF market across Asia-Pacific. Bain & Company Chief Sustainability Officer Sam Israelit said business travel is the largest share of Bain's carbon footprint and that joining GFF extends its prior SAF certificate commitments to the region, while Temasek Trust Head of Planet Collaborative Ryan Tan said the organisation is participating as both a member and catalytic funder to lower barriers for other companies. GFF said SAF supply remains constrained by its cost premium over conventional jet fuel and still-developing production capacity, and that stronger demand signals through SAF certificate purchases can encourage new supply investment and lower adoption costs across the region.
