PAI Partners-Led Shareholder Group Completes Acquisition of Italy's Mecaer Aviation Group

Why It MattersPrivate-equity capital is consolidating ownership of a supplier of critical flight systems to helicopter and private-jet makers, signalling sustained investor appetite for niche aerospace supply-chain businesses.

A group of shareholders led by PAI Partners has acquired 100% of the share capital of Mecaer Aviation Group, an Italian aerospace company that designs and produces high-tech aeronautical systems. The previous shareholders, including Fondo Italiano d'Investimento, acting as management company of Fondo Italiano di Consolidamento e Crescita (FICC), sold the company to the new group. Under the agreements, Fondo Italiano d'Investimento, through Fondo Italiano di Consolidamento e Crescita II, has reinvested in Mecaer alongside the founding families, the management and a pool of other co-investors, ensuring continuity in governance.
