NetJets plans to add 60 new aircraft to its fleet by the end of the year. The additions include five Bombardier Global 5000 and Global 6000 jets, seven Bombardier Challenger 650s, and 19 Cessna Citation Latitudes, among others.
One of NetJets' current Bombardier Global 6000 aircraft set a speed record last fall by completing a flight from Aspen–Pitkin County Airport to London City Airport in 8 hours. The same aircraft then flew from London City Airport to Lugano Airport in Switzerland in 2 hours and 43 minutes, establishing a second speed record.
NetJets has also launched a pilot alertness monitoring system that tracks circadian rhythms and factors in pilots' prior schedules and current time zones.
