Zeekr Malaysia and SkyPark FBO Malaysia Sign MoU to Integrate Zeekr 009 into Business Aviation Airside Transfers
Why It MattersThe tie-up shows FBOs extending their service differentiation beyond lounges into the airside transfer itself, treating ground vehicle choice as part of the premium passenger experience.
What happened
Zeekr Malaysia and SkyPark FBO Malaysia (SFBO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to introduce the Zeekr 009 for airside transfers between the terminal and aircraft at SkyPark Business Aviation Centre (SBAC). SFBO serves VIP travellers, private jet owners and charter flight passengers, with services centred on privacy, efficiency and personalised service.

The Zeekr 009 selected for the role features Sofaro First-Class Airline Seats finished in soft Nappa leather with ventilation and massage functions, a 17-inch 3K OLED roof screen, Zeekr's Intelligent Magic Carpet system, and dual-chamber air suspension.
"This collaboration with Zeekr Malaysia allows us to extend that experience beyond the lounge, with the Zeekr 009 providing a refined airside transfer for our passengers as they make their way to their aircraft," said Hariss Abdullah, Senior General Manager of SkyPark FBO Malaysia. Zeekr Malaysia said the collaboration brings together the standards of premium business aviation with first-class automotive comfort, extending the service of SkyPark Business Aviation Centre from the lounge through to the aircraft.
Industry impact & what to watch
This arrangement belongs to a broader trend of FBOs partnering with automotive brands to differentiate the ground experience, since the core service, aircraft handling and lounge access, has become table stakes across competing facilities. Airside transfer vehicles are one of the few remaining touchpoints an FBO fully controls end to end, from curb to cabin door, making them a visible and low-risk place to signal a premium positioning.
In business and general aviation, FBOs compete less on the aircraft they cannot control and more on the surrounding experience: privacy, speed through security, and the feel of every handoff along the way. A branded vehicle with first-class seating and screens is a marketing asset as much as an operational one, reinforcing the same standard passengers expect once airborne.
What happens next depends on whether SFBO and Zeekr Malaysia disclose a rollout timeline or fleet size for the airside transfer service, and whether other FBOs at competing terminals respond with similar tie-ups of their own.
