Advanced Aircrew Academy Names Chris Tranbarger Senior Training Manager
Why It MattersSpecialist training providers are placing operators' own regulatory and operational experience inside their courseware teams, tying business aviation eLearning more closely to individual flight departments' manuals and procedures.
Advanced Aircrew Academy, a US-based aviation eLearning and courseware provider headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, has appointed career pilot Chris Tranbarger as Senior Training Manager. The appointment moves a longtime contributor to the company's courseware development into a full-time role supporting its delivery of operator-specific aviation training.

Tranbarger has worked with the company's courseware team since 2016, previously serving as a subject matter expert covering Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), the Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM) and Overseas Territories Aviation Requirements (OTARs). His career includes more than a decade as Director of Operations for two FAA Part 135 air carriers, along with experience in flight instruction, training and safety management. His professional biography records more than 7,500 flight hours and aircraft type ratings covering business jets and regional turboprops. The company said his operational and regulatory experience will contribute to developing training content that reflects the requirements of individual aviation operators.
In October 2025, Advanced Aircrew Academy partnered with CAE to provide approximately 70 eLearning courses for business aviation customers through CAE's training services, covering regulatory, operational and safety training requirements. The company's portfolio includes more than 120 online training modules for pilots, flight attendants, maintenance personnel and other aviation employees. Its Part 135 and IS-BAO training offerings can be customised to individual operators' General Operations Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures and Operations Specifications.
