Snowbirds Fly Final CT-114 Tutor Show; Winglet Strike Damages Two Jets; Andover Tenants Face Dec. 31 Eviction
Why It MattersThe retirement of the Tutor closes a 55-year chapter for a national aerobatic team, while the Andover hangar dispute shows how state demolition decisions can displace general aviation tenants on tight deadlines.
Canada's Snowbirds flew their final CT-114 Tutor aerobatic demonstration on October 16 at 15 Wing Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, ending a chapter that began in 1971. The homecoming performance honored the families, maintainers and support personnel who kept the red-and-white jets in front of audiences for 55 years.

Separately, an A350's winglet became lodged in the tail of another aircraft, damaging both jets. No injuries were reported, and the incident has raised questions about aircraft positioning in one of the world's busiest airport environments.
At Aeroflex-Andover Airport in New Jersey, tenants remain under orders to vacate by December 31. Questions persist about why the state would demolish hangars that, according to figures cited by Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.), could be repaired for substantially less money. Formal eviction notices have since followed.
