Portside Appoints Four Executives as It Advances AI-Enabled Aviation Software Platform
Why It MattersThe leadership build-out signals continued consolidation and platform unification across aviation software vendors following private-equity investment in the sector.
Portside, a provider of AI-enabled, cloud-based software for the global aviation industry, announced four leadership appointments on September 8, 2026. David Kim joins as Chief Product Officer, bringing more than 15 years of enterprise software experience, and will lead global product strategy and advance AI capabilities within aviation workflows. Roman Mogylatov, a Portside employee since the company's founding, has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer overseeing engineering, technology strategy, and the AI infrastructure underpinning the platform. Jon Ingram joins as Chief Financial Officer.

The appointments follow Vista Equity Partners' investment in Portside and Holden's own appointment as CEO. Portside said it is working to unify its aviation software into a single platform, advance its AI-enabled product roadmap, and expand its global go-to-market reach. The company serves more than 1,100 enterprise customers worldwide and employs more than 235 professionals, with products covering business and corporate aviation, government operators, commercial airlines, and aircraft leasing and finance.
"This next stage of Portside is about focus and scale," said Holden. "David, Roman, Jon, and Alexandra bring a powerful combination of deep Portside knowledge and outside experience to help us deliver on that." Portside said it will share additional updates ahead of the 2026 NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (BACE), scheduled for October 20–22 in Las Vegas.
