AVERON Aerospace has announced it is developing the A-001, a next-generation hybrid-electric tiltrotor aircraft designed to expand access to emergency medical services in remote and infrastructure-limited regions.

The company says the aircraft combines helicopter-like vertical takeoff and landing with the speed and range of a fixed-wing aircraft, with the aim of enabling faster medical transportation across greater distances. According to the company, the A-001 features a streamlined aerodynamic fuselage, an advanced wing design, and two 9-meter, three-blade tilting proprotors.
