Astana to Restrict Traffic Nov. 5–7 for International Events; Military Aircraft to Fly Training Flights Over Capital
Why It MattersTemporary security measures around high-level gatherings in the capital can affect local ground access and airspace use, and business aviation traffic may see operational constraints during such event windows.
Kazakhstan's State Protective Service has announced that temporary vehicle-movement restrictions will be imposed on certain streets in Astana from November 5 to 7, 2026, in connection with the preparation and holding of a series of international political events in the capital.

The agency said the events will involve the deployment of resources from special state bodies, law enforcement agencies and the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan. Training flights by military aircraft are also scheduled in the capital's airspace, starting November 1.
The service asked residents and visitors of Astana to take the restrictions into account.
