Real Jet targets $100 million charter sales run rate by 2027

Why It MattersFounders of earlier jet card and fractional ventures are now building a brokerage, showing how asset-light charter intermediation competes for growth capital in a segment otherwise defined by owned aircraft.

What happened

Real SLX Chairman Kenny Dichter says he expects the company's Real Jet charter jet brokerage to close 2027 with a run rate that puts it on track for $100 million in sales by 2028.

Dichter founded Marquis Jet Partners, which was sold to NetJets in 2010, and also founded Wheels Up. He says he has no plans to launch programs similar to his first two ventures, namely guaranteed-rate jet cards, or to move from broker to operator.

Real Jet President Robert Withers, an early Marquis Jet employee and Wheels Up co-founder, says the pair have laid the groundwork for growth. Real Jet made its industry debut at NBAA's annual event.

Industry impact & what to watch

Dichter's stated choice to stay a broker rather than build a guaranteed-rate jet card or operate aircraft keeps Real Jet in the intermediary role. A broker earns on the spread between what a client pays and what an operator charges, so growth depends on sales volume and client relationships rather than on a fleet or a fixed-rate liability.

The $100 million figure is a sales target for 2028, set against a run rate Dichter expects to reach by the end of 2027. That makes the 2027 year-end run rate the nearest checkpoint for whether the plan is on pace.
