Liebherr-Aerospace to showcase landing gear, air management and EMA technologies at NBAA-BACE 2026

Why It MattersThe showcase reflects how business-jet suppliers increasingly package landing gear, cabin air systems and actuation technology across OEM platforms while building regional aftermarket networks to support them.

What happened

Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS will exhibit at NBAA-BACE 2026, with its team at Booth 3555 from October 20–22, 2026. Visitors to the booth will be able to view the nose landing gear developed for Embraer's Legacy 650 business jet, part of a landing gear portfolio that spans structures, extension and retraction systems, steering actuators, position and warning systems, wheels, brakes, sensors, and cockpit controls.

The company also supplies the complete integrated air management system for Dassault Aviation's Falcon 6X, covering air conditioning and bleed air systems, cabin pressurization, air distribution, ice protection, and supplemental cooling. Liebherr will present its Volatile Organic Compound and Ozone Converter (VOZC) technology, which removes ozone and airborne contaminants from cabin air and is already in operational service on business jets. In electromechanical actuation, Liebherr has developed a new generation of compact actuator solutions originally targeting the Advanced Air Mobility sector but also suited for business jets and helicopters, which the company describes as drawing on millions of flight hours across numerous aircraft programs.

On aftermarket support, Liebherr Aerospace Saline, Inc., located in Saline, Michigan, provides repair services, technical support, and spare parts distribution in the United States, with a liaison office in Seattle, Washington. A dedicated service center in Laval, near Montreal, Canada, serves operators across North America. Alex Vlielander, Chief Customer Officer at Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS, said the company looks forward to discussing how its expertise in aircraft electrification, weight optimization, and space-constrained installation solutions can benefit future business jet platforms.

Industry impact & what to watch

This exhibit lines up with how major aerostructure and systems suppliers use NBAA-BACE to display parts already flying on named OEM platforms rather than concepts alone, tying a landing gear or air management system directly to a jet model gives potential customers and existing operators a concrete reference point for qualification and fleet planning. Presenting actuator technology developed first for Advanced Air Mobility but repositioned for business jets and helicopters also shows how suppliers now stretch a single engineering investment across multiple aircraft categories to spread development cost.

The aftermarket footprint described, a Michigan facility with a Seattle liaison office and a Canadian service center near Montreal, illustrates how business aviation suppliers build regional support networks around where their installed base of aircraft actually operates in North America. Whether these technologies move from Dassault and Embraer platforms onto additional business jet programs will depend on decisions those OEMs have not yet disclosed, and the next signal will likely come from any new platform announcements following the NBAA-BACE event itself.
