Catheter Precision Rebrands as Flyte Aviation, Begins Trading on NYSE American Under Ticker 'VJET'

Why It MattersThe move illustrates how operators are racing to pair Part 135 charter fleets with digital booking platforms to capture growth in a private jet charter market still expanding at mid-single-digit annual rates.

What happened

Catheter Precision, Inc. has changed its name to Flyte Aviation, Inc. and switched its NYSE American ticker symbol from "VTAK" to "VJET," officially launching under the new corporate identity. The company describes itself as a technology-enabled private aviation business operating a growing fleet of Cirrus Vision Jets and building an AI-driven digital booking platform designed to simplify how consumers discover, price, and book private air travel.

David Jenkins, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said the launch marks "a historic milestone" and the official debut of the company's AI-driven aviation platform. Marc Sellouk, who founded Flyte in 2018, said the platform was built to address the complexity consumers face when booking private jets at competitive prices. Flyte operates through a FAA-certified Part 135 subsidiary, Ponderosa Air, LLC, and offers standardised pricing on select routes via a direct-to-consumer booking platform.

The company plans to invest during the fourth quarter of 2026 — beginning October 1 — in an upgraded website, a mobile application, digital marketing, AI data analytics, and customer acquisition. The U.S. private jet charter market is valued at approximately $11.6 billion in 2026 and, at an estimated compound annual growth rate of 6.9%, could exceed $14 billion by 2029 and $16 billion by 2031. The company also stated that its Life Sciences operations — including its LockeT and VIVO product lines and ongoing research trials — will not be reduced or capital-constrained as the company shifts its strategic focus toward aviation.

Industry impact & what to watch

This rebrand belongs to a broader trend of companies repositioning around technology-enabled booking layers rather than the aircraft or operating certificate alone, betting that software can be the differentiator in a market still largely built on broker relationships and fragmented pricing. Pairing a Part 135 certificate with a direct-to-consumer platform is one way operators try to capture both the regulatory compliance side and the retail demand side of charter without relying solely on third-party brokers.

How Flyte Aviation performs will depend on whether standardised pricing and the planned fourth-quarter investment in its website, app, and AI data analytics actually convert into bookings once the platform fully launches. Given that the company says its Life Sciences business will continue unabated, investors and partners will likely watch whether capital and management attention can genuinely support two distinct operating segments at once, and whether the Ponderosa Air subsidiary's fleet and route footprint expand to match the platform's ambitions.
