Air Charter Service Named Best Charter Brokerage at AsBAA Icons of Aviation Awards

Why It MattersPeer-voted awards like this one act as a visible credibility marker in charter brokerage, where buyers choose between intermediaries largely on reputation and responsiveness rather than on aircraft they own.

James Royds-Jones, Regional Director for Greater China at Air Charter Service, said that winning the award for the second year in a row was a fantastic achievement for the team. He said the award reflects the hard work, commitment and professionalism of the company's consultants and support teams, who work in a demanding and time-critical environment.

Royds-Jones also thanked customers, suppliers and industry partners.

Industry impact & what to watch

A brokerage has no fleet to point to, so its standing in the market rests on how clients and peers rate its service. An award from a regional association, repeated across two consecutive years, is one of the few outward signals a broker can show that is not simply its own marketing.

In Greater China and the wider Asia-Pacific region, where business aviation is still developing and many buyers are new to chartering, that kind of third-party recognition can shorten the decision for a first-time client. It does not, however, say anything about price, aircraft availability or performance on a specific trip, which are still checked trip by trip.

The next point of reference is the following edition of the AsBAA gala, which will show whether the same name holds the category a third time or the field changes.
