Ontario International Airport (ONT) in California has been awarded a $4,147,752 grant from the Federal Aviation Administration under the Federal Voluntary Airport Low Emissions (VALE) program to expand zero-emission infrastructure and add electric ground support equipment at Terminals 2 and 4. With the airport's required 25% cost match added, total spending on electric GSE at the two terminals will reach $5.53 million. The VALE program funds projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help airports meet air-quality goals, and this marks the third VALE grant ONT has received.
