ACMIWorld Guide Lists Eight Private-Jet FBOs and Handling Providers at Lagos Murtala Muhammed Airport
Why It MattersLagos shows that in a high-volume African business aviation market, dedicated FBO and hangar capacity, not demand, sets the practical limit on how private operators plan trips there.
What happened
ACMIWorld's 2026 guide to private-jet handling at Lagos Murtala Muhammed International Airport names the Luxaviation (ExecuJet) FBO and EAN Aviation as the two dedicated FBO facilities. They are backed by handling agents and two ramp handlers, and the guide covers eight providers in total. It says Lagos and Abuja are Africa's two busiest business aviation airports, but full-service FBO capacity remains tight.

The guide cites 49,586 Nigerian business aviation departures from January 2019 to May 2026, equal to 19% of all African business aviation departures. Nigeria's first private FBO opened at Lagos in 2011.
Luxaviation Lagos FBO (ExecuJet Africa) is described as the largest dedicated facility at the airport, with on-site customs and immigration, fuel, maintenance and security. ExecuJet's own description puts the hangar at 4,700 sqm, able to take a Boeing Business Jet, and the concrete apron at 25,500 sqm, with direct access to the main runway and taxiway. ExecuJet also offers maintenance, charter and aircraft management alongside refuelling, ground handling and flight planning.
EAN Aviation, formerly Evergreen Apple Nigeria, opened Nigeria's first private FBO facility in 2011. It runs a hangar jet centre with line maintenance for Gulfstream and Global types, and is organising the Nigerian Business Aviation Conference in Lagos in May 2027.
The other providers
ForeverJet Aviation Solutions is based at Murtala Muhammed and also listed at a long list of other Nigerian airports. Leading-Edge Aviation Services, led by co-founder Victor Mgbachi, offers trip support, ground handling and VIP services. FCG Ops Africa by Astra Aviation offers 24-hour handling and Jet A-1 with a South Africa-based desk.
Aviagreene Solutions has been based at the EAN Jet Center since 2019 and arranges permits, dispatch, fuel and handling. The two ramp handlers are NAHCO, founded in 1979 and listed since 2006, which provides ground handling and cargo handling among its services.
The list reflects ACMIWorld's editorial view of providers active at the airport as of October 31, 2026.
Permits and parking
Foreign-registered private and charter flights into Nigeria need a landing permit from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, and overflights need an overflight permit. Most operators arrange these through their FBO or a trip support provider, ideally several days ahead.
ACMIWorld advises booking hangar space together with the landing permit, since parking is the real constraint at Lagos in peak periods.
Industry impact & what to watch
Nigeria accounts for 19% of African business aviation departures, yet the guide counts only two dedicated FBO facilities at its busiest airport. Markets with that profile tend to push planning effort toward ground infrastructure: hangar space, permits and handling slots get secured as a package, because a missed parking slot can cost more than a delayed landing permit.
The spread of providers around the two FBOs, from trip-support desks to ramp handlers, shows how a tight facility base creates a layer of intermediaries. Operators often route permits and handling through them, so the quality of those intermediaries shapes the experience of the airport as much as the apron itself.
The next dated marker is the Nigerian Business Aviation Conference that EAN Aviation is organising in Lagos in May 2027, where capacity and handling arrangements are likely to be discussed publicly.
