Citibank Singapore Partners With Air 7 Asia to Offer Private Jet Charter Access to Citigold Private Client Customers

Why It MattersPrivate banks are packaging charter access as a client perk, which routes affluent demand to certified operators through a trusted intermediary and offers Asian charter firms a new channel beyond direct sales.

What happened

Citibank Singapore is partnering with Air 7 Asia, a Singapore-based private aviation company, to give Citigold Private Client customers access to private jet charter services and preferred travel benefits. Customers receive exclusive access and preferential rates on Air 7 Asia's charter services, supported by a dedicated aviation concierge who coordinates personalised travel arrangements.

Gourab Kundu, Head of Digital Growth and Wealth Continuum for Asia South at Citi Wealth, said the partnership provides access to private air travel tailored to clients' needs, whether flying for business, family or leisure. Lesley Ann Chai, Charter Director of Air 7 Asia, said it creates greater access to safe, flexible and personalised private aviation solutions.

Air 7 Asia provides aircraft management, executive charter, maintenance and air ambulance solutions across Asia and beyond, serving high-net-worth individuals, family offices, business leaders and corporate clients. It operates under Air 7's ARGUS Platinum-rated FAA Part 135 certification and is supported by Osprey Aviation's 2-REG Air Operator Certificate.

Earlier this year, Citi announced partnerships with education consultancies Crimson Education, ED-SG and Onwards Education Consultancy, giving Citigold Private Client customers access to education planning services, including guidance on international school admissions and university applications. Citi has also partnered with Porsche Singapore to offer these customers exclusive driving experiences with Porsche vehicles.

Industry impact & what to watch

Bank-sponsored charter access follows from how wealth clients are served: relationship managers already hold the trust and the client data, and a lifestyle benefit such as flying privately reinforces that relationship. For a charter operator, the bank becomes a distribution channel that pre-qualifies a high-net-worth audience without the operator's own sales effort.

In this arrangement the operator's certifications, ARGUS Platinum rating, FAA Part 135 and a 2-REG Air Operator Certificate, are what a bank can point to when vouching for safety. Operators seeking similar partnerships typically need that kind of verifiable credential before a regulated financial institution will attach its name to the service.

The concierge layer matters commercially, since a single coordinator handling itineraries is what turns a rate discount into an ongoing booking habit. Whether uptake among Citigold Private Client customers builds will show in how Citi and Air 7 Asia describe the programme in later announcements.
