FII Institute Names Bombardier as Strategic Partner in Three-Year Alliance
Why It MattersBusiness-aviation manufacturers increasingly use nonprofit policy and investment forums as recurring channels to reach investors and policymakers beyond the traditional airshow calendar.
What happened
The FII Institute has named Bombardier a Strategic Partner under a three-year agreement that formalises a collaboration building on Bombardier's participation at the FII PRIORITY Miami 2026 event.

Under the terms, Bombardier will engage year-round across the FII Institute's flagship conference, international summits, ongoing research, specialised initiatives, and global community network. HRH Princess Dr. Maha bint Mishari bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, CEO of FII Institute, said Bombardier "brings a global perspective, deep industry expertise, and a strong culture of innovation that will enrich conversations and collaborations across our platforms throughout the year." Éric Martel, President and CEO of Bombardier, said the partnership reflects the importance of convening leaders shaping the future, and noted that "as FII marks its milestone 10th edition, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to shape new opportunities and strengthen its growing role in connecting the region with the world."
Through the collaboration, Bombardier will contribute its industry experience to FII platforms, engaging with international investors, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and business leaders on topics including connectivity, advanced manufacturing, innovation, and sustainable growth. The FII Institute describes itself as a global nonprofit foundation whose stated agenda is Impact on Humanity, operating across AI and robotics, sustainability, healthcare, and education.
Industry impact & what to watch
Manufacturers pairing with policy and investment forums rather than relying solely on trade shows points to a broader pattern of business-aviation OEMs seeking sustained access to sovereign wealth, government, and cross-sector audiences rather than one-off exposure at a single event.
Such strategic partnerships typically function as a standing seat at the table across a multi-year calendar of summits and research initiatives, giving an OEM recurring visibility with investors and policymakers on themes like connectivity and advanced manufacturing that extend beyond aircraft sales pitches.
What remains to be seen is how Bombardier's participation translates into specific outcomes across the three-year term, including which FII summits and research initiatives it engages with beyond the Miami event already held.
