Mente Group to Attend 2026 NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas Under Expanded IADA Presence

Why It MattersTrade-show exhibits are consolidating around accreditation bodies, signalling that buyer confidence in aircraft transactions increasingly hinges on verified dealer and broker credentials rather than individual brand presence alone.

What happened

Mente Group will attend the 2026 NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) in Las Vegas as part of an expanded International Aircraft Dealers Association (IADA) presence at the event. A large contingent of Mente leadership and sales personnel will meet with clients to discuss aircraft sales, acquisitions, and related advisory services, while IADA will host a reception for members and invited guests from 3 to 5 p.m.

"NBAA-BACE is an excellent venue to sit down face to face with clients, discuss their business aviation requirements and move aircraft sales and purchase transactions forward," said Brian Proctor, President and CEO of Mente Group. Mente Group director of technical services Zach Ungerleider will take part in NBAA-BACE educational programming, contributing to a session developed jointly by IADA technical experts and the NBAA Maintenance Committee focused on best practices for business aircraft pre-purchase evaluations, including guidance on reducing risk, cost, and delays. Ungerleider has more than 15 years of aircraft maintenance, engineering, and aftermarket experience.

IADA's larger Booth 2877 exhibit will include nearly 50 member companies, serving as a meeting point for IADA Accredited Dealers, Certified Brokers, OEM members, and Verified Products & Services Members. Mente Group, founded in 2009 and headquartered in Dallas, Texas, has advised on billions of dollars in aircraft transactions. Proctor is a former IADA chairman, and members of the Mente transaction team hold IADA Certified Aircraft Broker credentials.

Industry impact & what to watch

Consolidating nearly 50 member companies into a single booth reflects how aircraft transaction advisory firms are increasingly presenting themselves collectively under accreditation umbrellas rather than as standalone exhibitors. This pattern shows how buyer trust in the pre-owned and brokered aircraft market rests on credentials like IADA's Accredited Dealer and Certified Broker designations, which vouch for transaction standards that individual firms cannot easily demonstrate alone at a trade show.

The pre-purchase evaluation session also points to where risk actually concentrates in aircraft deals: not in the negotiation itself but in the inspection and evaluation phase, where cost, delay, and disputes most often arise. Whether this expanded IADA presence translates into more completed transactions, or simply more face time, will depend on how many of the nearly 50 exhibiting firms convert convention meetings into signed deals in the months following the event.
