Honeywell Aerospace Plans $500 Million, 300,000-Square-Foot Manufacturing Facility in Tempe, Arizona
Why It MattersIn-house complex machining at a constrained supply-base step signals aerospace suppliers moving to bring critical capacity under their own control, which may ease component bottlenecks for aircraft and defense programs.
Honeywell Aerospace (NASDAQ: HONA) announced on Oct. 28, 2026 that it will build a new $500 million, 300,000-square-foot manufacturing facility on its Tempe, Arizona campus, near the company's global headquarters. The facility is meant to meet growing demand across current and next-generation commercial aviation and defense programs.

It will include an integrated digital production system, modular robotics, automated inspection and digital twins, powered by an end-to-end digital thread. It will also add internal complex machining capability, an area of the supply base that is currently constrained.
