PlaneSense to Equip All 71 PC-12 and PC-24 Aircraft with Gogo Galileo Satellite Wi-Fi

Why It MattersFleet-wide connectivity upgrades at fractional operators show in-flight broadband shifting from a premium option to baseline equipment that owners expect as part of a managed programme.

What happened

US fractional operator PlaneSense plans to equip its Pilatus PC-12 and PC-24 aircraft with Gogo Galileo satellite Wi-Fi. PlaneSense operates the largest fleet of PC-12s and PC-24s in the US and will fit all 71 aircraft it owns, as well as future deliveries.

The first Galileo-equipped PC-24 is scheduled for delivery in late October 2026. Installation on the existing fleet will begin at the same time, and all subsequent new PC-24s will arrive with Galileo factory-installed. Installation on the PC-12s will begin in November 2026, and PlaneSense plans to complete all installations by the end of 2027.

Gogo Galileo is powered by the Eutelsat OneWeb low-earth-orbit (LEO) network, which delivers high-speed, low-latency broadband globally. Gogo said its HDX electronically steered antenna is a compact, lightweight, aerodynamic and low-power solution, and described the system as "future-proof" in part because software updates can be deployed remotely.

George Antoniadis, president and CEO of PlaneSense, said the programme has been built around clients' needs for more than 30 years and that Galileo will bring reliable, high-performance bandwidth to the entire fleet, letting clients stay connected from takeoff to landing. He noted that the relationship between PlaneSense and Gogo dates back to the early 2000s. Gogo CEO Chris Moore said PlaneSense fractional owners will have access to Gogo's value-added services, including advanced cybersecurity protections, training and 24/7/365 global customer support, and that Gogo minimises data retention and is committed to customer privacy.

Industry impact & what to watch

Fractional programmes sell a consistent experience across a shared fleet, which makes connectivity a fleet-wide decision rather than an aircraft-by-aircraft one. Equipping every airframe, and specifying the system on new PC-24 deliveries from the factory, treats broadband as part of the product owners are buying into. A uniform fit also simplifies support and training, since one system and one service arrangement covers the whole fleet.

The choice of a LEO-based network reflects where much of the business-aviation connectivity market has been heading, toward lower latency and global coverage in compact installations suited to turboprops and light jets. Remote software updates matter for operators because they let capability change without pulling aircraft out of service for hardware work.

The next milestones are the late-October delivery of the first Galileo-equipped PC-24 and the start of PC-12 installations in November 2026. Completion of the programme by the end of 2027 is the date against which the rollout will be judged.
