Magellan Jets Named Official Private Aviation Partner of Casa de Campo Resort & Villas in Dominican Republic

Why It MattersResort tie-ups like this show how charter brokers increasingly compete on curated door-to-door experience and partner access rather than on price or fleet size alone.

What happened

Magellan Jets has entered a partnership with Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, a 7,000-acre resort in the Dominican Republic, under which the resort has designated Magellan Jets as its official private aviation partner. Under the agreement, clients of both companies will receive bonuses and preferred access to each other's services.

Casa de Campo residents and guests will gain preferred access to Magellan Jets' brokerage services, while Magellan Jets clients will be offered a bespoke arrival experience and a curated set of privileges at the resort. Casa de Campo features a marina, three championship golf courses, a shooting center, and beaches, among other amenities. La Romana International Airport is located approximately five minutes by car from the resort, which also has an on-property heliport.

"Partnering with Casa de Campo reflects Magellan Jets' belief that a truly exceptional journey should feel uninterrupted from the first moment of departure," said John Lesnick, Chief Operating Officer of Magellan Jets. "By combining our world-class private aviation service with the resort's private airport in La Romana, we deliver the discretion, safety, and personal attention that define private travel at its finest."

Industry impact & what to watch

Arrangements pairing a charter broker with a destination resort are a recurring way for both sides to extend their reach without adding aircraft or rooms: the resort offers its guests an easier path to book private flights, and the broker gains a channel of clients already primed for premium travel. The value for each side rests on convenience at the point of arrival, since La Romana International Airport sits roughly five minutes from the property and the resort also operates its own heliport.

For brokerage economics, this kind of tie-up works by bundling non-aircraft perks, resort privileges, arrival handling, preferred access, around the actual charter transaction, which is where brokers typically compete when fleets and price points look similar across the market.

What remains to be seen is how the preferred-access terms translate into actual booking volume for either party, since neither the pricing structure nor the specific privileges on offer were detailed.
