Global Business Jet MRO Market Projected to Reach USD 5.33 Million by 2035 as Leading Providers Expand Capacity
Why It MattersSustained MRO revenue growth across major providers signals deepening consolidation of maintenance work packages as fleets age and avionics upgrade demand rises.
The global business jet Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul market is projected to be worth USD 3.02 million in 2026 and reach USD 5.33 million by 2035, expanding at a compound annual growth rate of 5.84% over the forecast period. More than 23,000 active business jets operate globally, generating recurring demand for airframe inspections, engine overhaul, component repair, avionics modernization, interior refurbishment, paint services and aircraft-on-ground support. Maintenance expenditure is driven by regulated inspection intervals, aging fleets and growing demand for avionics and connectivity upgrades, and operators are increasingly consolidating airframe checks, cabin refurbishment, connectivity installations and avionics modifications into single maintenance visits to reduce downtime and ferry time.

Engine maintenance remains one of the highest-value segments. StandardAero recorded USD 6.06 billion in company-wide revenue during 2025, with its Engine Services division generating approximately USD 5.35 billion, and its business aviation end market delivered double-digit year-over-year growth.
Among the leading MRO organizations active in the business jet segment, Lufthansa Technik reported EUR 8.049 billion in 2025 revenue, the first time it exceeded EUR 8 billion, representing approximately 12% year-over-year growth, with about three-quarters of revenue coming from customers outside the Lufthansa Group; in the first half of 2026 it reported approximately EUR 4.4 billion in revenue, around 11% higher than the same period a year earlier. ST Engineering reported group revenue of SGD 12.35 billion in 2025, with its Commercial Aerospace segment generating approximately SGD 4.99 billion, up approximately 14% year over year, as it expands engine MRO capacity and deepens participation in next-generation engine programs. Gulfstream Aerospace is reported within General Dynamics Aerospace, which generated approximately USD 13.11 billion in segment revenue in 2025, up approximately 16.5%, including approximately USD 3.70 billion in aircraft services revenue, with Gulfstream's customer support network including dedicated service centers, parts distribution centers and FAST mobile support teams.
Duncan Aviation, one of the largest family-owned business aviation MRO organizations, does not publicly disclose 2025 revenue; in 2026 it expanded Honeywell APU maintenance capabilities and introduced connectivity solutions while mobilizing its U.S. network to support increased traffic around major events. Jet Aviation operates approximately 50 locations internationally, with revenue not separately disclosed by parent General Dynamics; in May 2026 it introduced automated drone and AI inspection capabilities in the United States and signed an agreement to explore expanded maintenance and refurbishment capacity at Singapore's Seletar Aerospace Park. West Star Aviation employs more than 3,000 professionals across full-service facilities in several U.S. states offering maintenance, avionics, interiors, paint and mobile support. Elliott Aviation has particularly strong capabilities around King Air, Citation and other popular platforms, with avionics modernization remaining strategically important as owners increasingly retrofit existing fleets. Constant Aviation provides maintenance, avionics, structural repairs, interiors and AOG services emphasizing integrated maintenance solutions, while MRO Holdings, a privately held U.S.-based organization operating large-scale aircraft maintenance businesses primarily across the Americas, continued in 2026 to focus on operational performance, capacity utilization and maintenance delivery across its broader network.
