Kuwait's Army General Staff announced that its air defense systems confronted a hostile missile and drone attack originating from Iran, adding that explosion sounds heard by the public resulted from the interception of hostile projectiles. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps released footage of the missile attack on Kuwait, describing it as a response to U.S. strikes near Bandar Abbas airport in southern Iran.
U.S. President Donald Trump said Iran had been rebuilding its missile systems and that the U.S. had destroyed a rocket Iran was developing to deploy mines, predicting the renewed military campaign against Iran would not last much longer while warning the U.S. remained prepared to strike again if necessary.
In a separate interview with an Israeli Hebrew-language channel, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said all of Israel's systems were working toward toppling Iran's Islamic regime. Netanyahu also said Israel controls approximately 60% of Gaza and that Israeli Defense Forces troops would hold positions on the Yellow Line while pursuing the disarmament of Hamas. The IDF reported that since the ceasefire agreement, more than 16 miles of underground tunnels had been dismantled, and Israel continues military operations in Lebanon.
