LAX Runway 7L-25R and Taxiway B to Close 17 Hours for Maintenance, Sept. 26–27, 2026
Why It MattersScheduled runway maintenance at a major hub like LAX requires operators to adjust flight planning and airfield routing around temporary capacity constraints during the closure window.
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) has issued an operations advisory announcing the closure of Runway 7L-25R and a portion of Taxiway B for approximately 17 hours to support scheduled maintenance. The closure will run from 1500 PDT on September 26, 2026 to 0800 PDT on September 27, 2026, with associated taxiway closures planned during the same window to help minimize impacts on traffic flow.

Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) will be issued 72 hours ahead of the closure, and operators are advised to check current NOTAMs for airfield operating conditions and plan flight operations accordingly. Questions about the advisory can be directed to Airside Manager Cary Buchanan, while urgent hazard reports go to the Airport Response Coordination Center (ARCC) at (424) 646-5292.
