Textron Aviation has announced availability of an all-Garmin avionics retrofit solution for original Cessna CitationJet aircraft, serial numbers 525-0001 through 0359, following FAA Supplemental Type Certification approval. The upgrade extends OEM-supported avionics modernization to the earliest CitationJet aircraft, giving owners and operators access to the same advanced cockpit technology already available on the CJ1 and CJ2 variants.
The Garmin flight deck package includes the G600 TXi flight display, TXi EIS, GTN 750Xi FMS/NAV/COMM, and GFC 600 digital autopilot, with Stabilized Approach monitoring and aural V-speed alerting during takeoff. Optional upgrades include the GWX 8000 StormOptix weather radar and GDL 60 datalink for the PlaneSync connected aircraft management system.
Customers can complete the upgrade through Textron Aviation's service network, which encompasses more than 300 authorized service facilities worldwide, along with a mobile support program featuring more than 40 mobile service units.
