Porto Aviation Risen Sets Two FAI World Speed Records in RAL2T Microlight Class

A Porto Aviation Risen powered by a Rotax 916 engine has set two ratified world speed records in the FAI's RAL2T two-seat microlight category. Pilot Alberto Rodolfo Porto flew both record attempts on October 16, 2025, from Alzate Brianza Airport in northern Italy.
The straight-course run reached 453.20 km/h (approximately 244.7 knots), and the 50-kilometer closed circuit was completed at 432.69 km/h (approximately 233.6 knots). As of September 15, the FAI lists both performances as ratified current world records. The RAL2T classification covers land-based microlights operated with two people, using movable aerodynamic controls and a thermal engine.
During the same series of flights, Porto also completed a 100-kilometer closed circuit at 431.14 km/h (approximately 232.8 knots). That performance is currently listed by the FAI as a 'dossier under review' and has not yet received ratified status. Porto Aviation announced all three attempts shortly after the flights last October.
