British newlyweds and pilot killed in helicopter crash on honeymoon in Greece

British newlyweds Alex Cromie and Marie Ebert were killed along with their pilot when their private helicopter crashed and caught fire in the Tholos area of the Aegean island of Sifnos, Greece, at approximately 6:15 p.m. local time on Monday. Asset management firm Blackstone, where Cromie served as vice president in private wealth solutions, said in a statement: "We are shocked by the tragic passing of three people including our colleague Alex Cromie and his wife Marie Ebert, who were celebrating their recent nuptials. Alex was beloved by everyone who knew and worked with him at Blackstone, and our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones." According to his LinkedIn profile, Cromie had been with Blackstone for four years, having joined as an associate before being promoted to vice president.
