Starlink Doubles Business Aviation Plan Prices and Adds Regional Tier, Effective August 7, 2026
Why It MattersConnectivity pricing for business aircraft is shifting toward tiered, usage-based structures, forcing operators to reassess data plans as a recurring cost rather than a fixed line item.
What happened
Starlink doubled the prices of its two existing business aviation connectivity plans effective August 7, 2026, while adding a new regional unlimited tier priced at $12,500 per month. New customers have been on the new pricing since it was announced.

Prior to the change, two plans existed — Business Aviation 25GB and Business Aviation Unlimited — both of which had been quietly renamed earlier this year from their original designations, Aviation Jet 20GB and Aviation Jet Unlimited. That earlier change included a small data bump on the entry plan from 20GB to 25GB, but no price change at that time. Under the new structure, both existing plans doubled in price, and the regional unlimited plan was added in between them at $12,500 per month, providing unlimited data.
Industry impact & what to watch
Connectivity pricing in business aviation has moved twice within the same year for the same two plans — first a rename and modest data increase, then a doubling in price alongside a new tier. That pattern points to a provider actively recalibrating how it segments business aircraft customers by geography and data volume rather than holding a single flat rate.
How operators budget for cabin connectivity now depends on which tier fits their typical routing: a regional unlimited plan at $12,500 per month sits between the two original offerings, suggesting demand exists for a middle option between capped data and full global unlimited service. Aircraft owners and fractional programs that priced in the older rates will need to revisit those assumptions.
What remains to be seen is whether further tiers or price adjustments follow, and whether the regional plan's coverage boundaries are published in detail.
