Bermuda Imposes Temporary No-Fly Zone Over W. Joell Tennis Stadium for Davis Cup Tie Against Mexico

The Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA) has imposed a temporary no-fly zone over the W. Joell Tennis Stadium to coincide with Bermuda's Davis Cup World Group II tie against Mexico on September 19 and 20, 2026, starting at 9:00 a.m. each day. The restriction bars all non-participating aircraft, drones, microlights, gliders, airships, kites, and balloons from the designated airspace during those hours, though one event-approved drone will be allowed to operate before and after matches.
The BCAA said the measure is meant to protect event participants, spectators, and the public. It also reminded the public that existing drone and small unmanned aircraft regulations remain in effect, including five permanent no-fly zones already established across Bermuda.
