TITAN Aviation Fuels Partners With Clariant to Distribute Aircraft Deicing Products Across US and Canada
Why It MattersFuel suppliers are widening into winter-operations consumables, tying deicing fluid supply to existing branded FBO networks and fuel relationships instead of leaving it as a separate purchasing channel for airport operators.
What happened
TITAN Aviation Fuels has announced a strategic partnership with Clariant, a global specialty chemical company that provides aviation deicing and anti-icing solutions. Under the agreement, TITAN will distribute Clariant's aviation products throughout the United States and Canada.

TITAN customers will gain access to Clariant's Safewing deicing portfolio, which includes Type I and Type IV aircraft deicing and anti-icing fluids intended to support winter operations. The partnership extends to TITAN's network of more than 675 branded FBOs.
Robbie Stallings, President of TITAN Aviation Fuels, said the partnership lets TITAN expand beyond traditional fueling solutions and give its FBO partners access to products that support their operations. He added that customers rely on TITAN for more than fuel.
TITAN describes itself as a leading global supplier of aviation fuel with more than 675 branded FBO locations. Clariant reported 10,281 staff and sales of CHF 3.915 billion for its fiscal year, as of 31 December 2025.
Industry impact & what to watch
Branded fuel networks have long competed on supply reliability and price, and both are hard to differentiate at the pump. Adding winter-operations products to the same purchasing relationship gives a supplier another reason for an FBO to stay inside its brand, and gives the FBO one account to manage for fuel and fluid instead of two.
Deicing fluid is a seasonal, availability-sensitive purchase, so the practical test of an arrangement like this comes in the first cold-weather period after rollout: whether supply reaches FBOs at the airports that need it, and in the fluid types those airports actually use.
The next concrete signals would be which TITAN-branded locations begin stocking the Safewing range and how it sits alongside any deicing supply those FBOs already hold.
