EHang Reports Q2 2026 Revenue of RMB 77.9 Million, Withdraws Full-Year Guidance Amid China Regulatory Caution

EHang Holdings reported total revenues of RMB 77.9 million (US$11.5 million) for the second quarter of 2026, down from RMB 113.3 million in Q2 2025 but up 203.5% from RMB 25.7 million in Q1 2026, with the quarter-over-quarter gain driven by higher sales volumes of eVTOL aircraft including the EH216 series and VT35. Gross profit reached RMB 47.7 million with a gross margin of 61.2%, broadly in line with 61.5% a year earlier, while total operating expenses of RMB 182.3 million produced an operating loss of RMB 131.7 million and a net loss of RMB 128.3 million, versus RMB 103.0 million in Q2 2025. Basic and diluted net loss per ADS was RMB 1.68, and cash and investment balances stood at RMB 929.4 million as of June 30.
EHang withdrew its previously issued 2026 full-year revenue guidance of RMB 600 million, citing a more cautious regulatory environment in China following a major accident involving a piloted light-sport aircraft in late June that has slowed passenger commercial operation approvals in certain regions; the company said it will provide updated guidance when regulatory visibility improves.
On operations, EHang said routine trial operations at two domestic sites have remained safe and stable for 17 months, the EH216-S has begun point-to-point route testing at its Guangzhou headquarters, and the aircraft's international footprint has expanded to Mexico, Switzerland and Kazakhstan. The EH216 series has now flown in 23 countries, completing nearly 100,000 safe flight missions.
In Thailand, a regulatory pathway has been established with the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand, targeting a commercial operation certificate within 2026. EHang was selected into Hong Kong's Low-Altitude Economy Regulatory Sandbox X trial projects and has begun flight validation there, while Sri Lanka has been named the inaugural market under EHang's Global Fast Track Program. The company also said it is advancing development and airworthiness certification of the VT35 long-range lift-and-cruise eVTOL, expanding GD-series formation drone and drone show services, and developing aerial logistics and firefighting applications.
