Electric Aircraft Sensors Market Forecast to Reach $1.01 Billion by 2030, Driven by eVTOL and AI Maintenance Demand

Why It MattersSustained double-digit growth in electric aircraft sensing signals deepening supplier consolidation and accelerating investment across eVTOL, autonomous flight, and predictive maintenance technology segments.

The global electric aircraft sensors market is projected to grow from $0.56 billion in 2025 to $0.63 billion in 2026, a compound annual growth rate of 12.8%, before reaching $1.01 billion by 2030 at a CAGR of 12.4%. Growth through 2026 is attributed to the electrification of aerospace systems, wider use of traditional aircraft sensor technologies, heightened emphasis on flight safety monitoring, growth in defense aviation programmes, and increasing requirements for optimising aircraft performance, while the acceleration to 2030 is linked to expansion of electric and hybrid aircraft initiatives, broader adoption of autonomous flight technologies, elevated investment in eVTOL platforms, sustainable aviation goals, and greater integration of AI-enabled predictive maintenance systems.

Electric Aircraft Sensors Market Forecast to Reach $1.01 Billion by 2030, Driven by eVTOL and AI Maintenance Demand

In October 2025, TransDigm Group Incorporated, a US aerospace components manufacturer, acquired Simmonds Precision Products from RTX Corporation for approximately $765 million, aiming to bolster its aerospace sensing capabilities in fuel sensing, proximity sensing, and structural health monitoring for commercial and defence aircraft. Separately, in April 2024, Honeywell International Inc. was selected by Lilium N.V., a German electric aircraft manufacturer, to supply propulsion unit position sensors for the Lilium Jet, with Honeywell designing resolvers to detect engine position accurately for safe takeoff and in-flight performance. Amphenol Corporation and Analog Devices Inc. are among the key companies active in the electric aircraft sensors sector.
