Tecnam Opens Order Books for P2012 VIP Executive Transport

Tecnam has opened order books for the P2012 VIP, an executive transport variant of its P2012 Traveller platform, which made its global debut at AERO Friedrichshafen earlier this year before its American premiere at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh in July.
The cabin features what Tecnam calls the largest club of its class, with a 6-foot backrest-to-backrest club seating arrangement, two forward-facing seats and an optional additional seat. Eight-way electrically adjustable Italian leather seats, a handcrafted wood table and Alcantara finishing feature throughout, alongside electronically dimmable panoramic windows, a three-layer soundproofing system and LEMO headset plugs at every seat. A galley with a chilled compartment and coffee station sits near the main entrance, a private lavatory is installed aft behind a sliding door, and connectivity includes Starlink-capable USB-C ports and 110V/220V power sockets.
The P2012 VIP retains the base aircraft's short-field performance, Lycoming piston twin engines and Garmin G1000 NXi avionics, with the VIP interior compatible across all engine and wing variants in the P2012 series. Tecnam managing director Giovanni Pascale Langer said the US market has been waiting for an aircraft combining executive comfort with the platform's efficiency and safety, adding that it is about flying "with absolute elegance and operational peace of mind."
