CBP Launches Unified Trusted Traveler App Consolidating Global Entry and Membership Management

Why It MattersConsolidating trusted-traveler credentialing into one platform signals CBP's push to streamline expedited-clearance processes as demand for such programs continues to grow.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has launched a new Trusted Traveler App that combines two previously separate apps into one official mobile application, free on the Apple App Store and Google Play. The app lets travelers manage applications and memberships for Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, and FAST, including membership updates, interview scheduling, renewals, and Global Entry arrival confirmation at U.S. airports. It currently supports 85 airports and multiple CBP Preclearance locations, and the two prior apps have been discontinued.

Executive Assistant Commissioner Diane J. Sabatino of CBP's Office of Field Operations said the app brings application and membership management together with the Global Entry arrival confirmation feature, calling it a way to make travel less complicated with one official app supporting all services.

Global Entry, part of the Department of Homeland Security's Trusted Traveler Programs, offers expedited clearance for pre-screened, low-risk travelers entering the United States, with all applicants undergoing background checks and in-person interviews before enrollment. The program has millions of members worldwide.
