ACES Plans to Deploy Interoperable eVTOL Charging Infrastructure Across Texas Under White House eIPP

America's Consortium for Electric Skyways (ACES), founded by Archer Aviation, BETA Technologies, and Macquarie Capital, will expand interoperable electric aviation charging infrastructure across Texas to support air taxi operations under the White House's eVTOL Integration Pilot Program (eIPP), partnering with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). ACES aims to electrify up to 250 air taxi sites across America's largest airports and metro areas over the next decade, using an open-standard shared infrastructure model rather than competing proprietary systems.
In Texas, ACES will work with TxDOT and local partners to identify sites where eVTOL operators expect to fly under the eIPP and prepare the required infrastructure. TxDOT has outlined regional test flights linking the Texas Triangle — Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston — along with rural communities, with all-electric air taxi flights planned in the coming months by BETA, Archer, and other manufacturers.
Sergio Roman, TxDOT Emerging Aviation Tech Director, said the eIPP represents a first-of-its-kind effort to integrate electric aircraft into U.S. airspace and that the infrastructure positions Texas at the center of next-generation aviation. Archer CEO Adam Goldstein said the chargers will be placed where eIPP operations occur, built to an open standard, forming the foundation for passenger air taxi flights across the Texas Triangle in the pilot's final phase. BETA CEO Kyle Clark said the effort focuses on interoperable, reliable charging ready where operators need it, with Texas demonstrating shared infrastructure alongside TxDOT.
Archer separately launched its 'No Roads' flight tour, extending its city-to-city test program for the all-electric Midnight air taxi in coordination with the FAA. Archer said the flights support its role as Official Air Taxi Provider of the LA28 Games, with eIPP operations planned in Texas, Florida, and New York, and Midnight flights set to begin in the Los Angeles area later this year.
