Biman Extends Riyadh, Dammam Flight Suspension Until November 4
Why It MattersContinued attacks on Saudi airports are pushing Gulf-bound air traffic away from Riyadh and Dammam toward Jeddah and Madinah, concentrating demand on the kingdom's western gateways.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines has extended the suspension of all Dhaka-Riyadh and Dhaka-Dammam flights, citing passenger safety amid continued attacks on Saudi airports. In a press release issued on October 25, the national flag carrier said the suspension will remain in effect until November 4, Bangladesh time and date. Biman had earlier suspended Dhaka-Dammam flights scheduled for October 23-25 and all Dhaka-Riyadh flights until October 31.

The airline has been operating two flights daily from Dhaka to Jeddah since October 16 in response to passenger demand, and said this arrangement will continue until November 4. Regular flights between Dhaka and Madinah are continuing using Boeing 787 aircraft. Passengers needing urgent travel may use Jeddah or Madinah airports to travel to Saudi Arabia or return to Bangladesh.
Biman said further updates on flight operations and schedules will be announced later. Passengers have been advised to contact the airline's nearest sales offices for ticketing and travel information.
