Cirrus SR22T Crash in Swiss Alps Kills Three, Including Two British Nationals

A Cirrus SR22T light aircraft crashed into a mountainside in the Fluhalp area near Leukerbad, in the canton of Valais, Switzerland, killing all three people on board. The British Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office confirmed on Thursday that two of the victims were British nationals.
The aircraft had departed from Lugano, made a stop at Sion airport, and was en route to Buochs airfield in Canton Nidwalden when it went down. Emergency services and rescue teams responded but found all occupants dead at the scene, and support is being provided to the families of the deceased British nationals.
